Collins Community Credit Union President and CEO Richard Benhart will retire; COO Stefanie Rupert will succeed.
Collins Community Credit Union's current President and Chief Executive Officer, Richard Benhart, will retire on April 1, 2016, after 30 years of service at the Credit Union. He joined the Credit Union as a Senior Vice President in 1986. He was appointed President and CEO in October, 2000.
"Over the years, I've seen the Credit Union grow from $84 million to $925 million. I have enjoyed working with our volunteer board, senior leadership and staff to provide our membership with the tools to be financially successful. I am proud to be part of an organization that has such deep roots in the community and I know Stefanie will successfully continue the legacy that Collins Community Credit Union represents," said Rick Benhart.
The board of directors is pleased to appoint Stefanie Rupert, Chief Operating Officer, as successor. She joined the Credit Union in 2011 as COO, managing all departments that touch the membership, including Commercial Services, Consumer and Real Estate Lending, Operations, Credit Solution and Electronic Services. Additionally, she also oversees Compliance and Audit. She was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2013.
"We look forward to having Stefanie Rupert lead our Credit Union into the future, with great visions of growth and commitment to both our organization and community," said Marsha Schulte, chairperson of the Credit Union's Board.
