We’ve received reports that our members are receiving unsolicited calls from someone asking for debit card numbers, expiration dates, security codes and social security numbers. If you receive a phone call or text message requesting debit card or account information, hang up or delete immediately. We will never call or text asking for this information.
To ensure your safety, never give out sensitive account information such as account numbers, expiration dates, PIN numbers, etc., without knowing you who are speaking with, especially if the call was unsolicited. If the number on the caller ID is unfamiliar to you or you don’t recognize the name of the agency that’s calling, do not give out any information.
Should you have any questions about phone calls or text messages you receive regarding account information contact the Credit Union directly at 800-475-1150 to verify the validity of the request.
