How to Protect Yourself From Phishing Emails and Spoofing

It has come to our attention that there are fraudulent emails being circulated that look like they’re from Collins Community Credit Union and our Online Banking platform has been spoofed.

If you receive an email from the email address e-bankingalert@collinscu.org with the subject line “Security Alert: Your Account Has Been Placed On Hold”, please do not click the links and delete right away. This is not a valid email from Collins Community Credit Union. This is a phishing email, with the intent to gain access to your personal information. 

If you received the phishing email and clicked the link, we advise you to change your Online Banking password.

Below are the steps to change your password: 
1.    Visit www.collinscu.org and click the "Online Banking" tab at the top. 
2.    Click "Forgot Password". 
3.    Enter the requested personal authentication information. Click "Submit". 
4.    Enter and confirm your new password. Click "Submit Password". 

Once your password has been changed, you will receive immediate access to your online accounts. If you have questions regarding these steps, please contact us at 1-800-475-1150.
