Can you believe it? Today was my last day working in the classroom with Junior Achievement! I have had such a great time getting to know the kiddos over the last five weeks.

Although this was my last day in the classroom, the Credit Union’s support of this great organization doesn’t end today. Several of my co-workers also volunteer their time in the classroom. Here’s a comment I received on my first blog post from Karen S., the credit union’s vice president of operations.

“Good Luck Taylor -Glad you are enjoying your experience. I have also been involved with JA since 1997. It is a great learning experience for the kids to learn and interact with business people from their community. I know the kids teach me new things each and every year.”

Karen has been involved with Junior Achievement for over ten years! Wow, that’s amazing.

But, being a classroom volunteer isn’t the only way you can get involved. Junior Achievement puts on a variety of great fundraising events throughout the year including; Ladies’ Night Out, Bowl-4-Education and their Volley-4-Education sand volleyball tournament.

The Credit Union is a proud sponsor of the volleyball tournament, and trust me, it’s a blast! I’m already working on recruiting my team for 2015.
