As I was driving to work this morning I realized that I forgot to pack my lunch.  So, without thinking twice, I stopped at Hy-Vee to pick up a couple things and, of course grabbed some Starbucks.  I went through the checkout, slid my debit card, and was on my way.  I’m sure a lot of you can relate, but unfortunately for some a trip to the grocery store isn’t always that easy.

In Iowa 90,000 households are food insecure, or have limited access or availability to safe and nutritious foods.  Just think- these are your neighbors, friends and family members.

That’s why we need your help to reach our one TON goal!  CCCU is currently taking food and monetary donations to help the HACAP Food Reservoir with their Freedom From Hunger Food Drive.  Non-perishable food donations will be accepted August 1st – 31st at all Cedar Rapids CCCU locations

While you’re out grocery shopping this weekend please take the time to pick up a couple extra items so we can help those in our community.
