Please indulge me because I have to brag...and I figure if I'm going to brag...why not do it on our blog?
So like a proud parent shows off photos, I've got some cute pics too... but mine are of co-workers and their family members getting involved in the community.
This strong community involvement and desire to help improve the lives of others is why I'm so proud to be a part of Collins Community Credit Union. It is my honor and privilege to work with this fantastic group of people with such great big hearts!
With Christmas just around the corner, we're ringing bells for The Salvation Army; collecting "Toys For Tots"('til 12/5); selling bears to benefit The March of Dimes and making sure some Four Oaks kids have a happy holiday too. But what's really impressive is this "spirit of giving" can be found all year round at Collins Community Credit Union.
Our Community Action Committee, which is made up of employee volunteers, helps coordinate our collective involvement in charitable efforts and events monthly. They are a seemingly tireless bunch of dedicated folks planning Jean Days and Cook-Out Fundraisers as well as recruiting walk, volleyball and bowling teams for charity.
Ask any volunteer and they will tell you that they receive much more than they give. Making a positive impact on our community and changing lives for the better is good for everyone. It's up-lifting and gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. Want to feel it too? Just VOLUNTEER!
Happy Holidays, everyone and thanks for letting me brag about my awesome co-workers, just a bit!!
