At Collins Community Credit Union, Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. Every year our employees dress up in costume, decorate pumpkins for our pumpkin decorating contest and we host a warm and safe trick-or-treating event for the kiddos at our 42nd Street location in Cedar Rapids.

In the two years that I’ve worked for the Credit Union, we (the marketing department) have come up with some pretty creative pumpkin ideas. The first year we created a turtle, and last year we made a Wild Thing from Where the Wild Things Are.

This year, we’ve procrastinated a little bit, and just came up with a pumpkin idea last night. I’m not sure it will be the winning pumpkin, as the competition is pretty stiff, but it will be cute none the less.

Visit our 42nd Street location in Cedar Rapids tomorrow from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to see all the pumpkins, and enjoy warm and safe trick-or-treating. Our branch will be decked out in Halloween décor, our employees will be dressed in costume handing out candy and Kirby Kangaroo will be there to hang out with the kiddos.

Happy Halloween!
