Super Bowl 50 is just two days away and if you’re planning on hosting a party there are few things to keep in mind to keep your budget on track.
Let’s face it, you’re getting together with a group of friends to watch a bunch of grown men tackle each other, your party doesn’t have to be fancy. Don’t stress yourself out by setting unrealistic expectations; your friends and family will have a great time regardless of how expensive the wine is. To cut back on the food and beverage costs ask people to bring a snack to share and their own drinks. And remember, when it comes to finding cheap recipes, Pinterest is your friend. Here’s the link to one of my favorite chip dips.
Next, skip the decorations. Although it is fun to have football themed plates and napkins it can be pricey. If you must, hit up the dollar store and buy solid colored napkins and plates in the team colors. And to save even more money, skip the plastic plates all together. If you’re up for doing dishes later, use real plates and silverware.
The only thing you should be stressing out about on Sunday is the game. Who are you rooting for, the Carolina Panthers, or the Denver Broncos? Tell us in the comments below.
