Let’s face it, we live in a consumer driven society. We are bombarded with advertisements daily, and are presented with a false ideal of what life is like. We are told that we need to buy the latest technology, drive a fancy car, live in a humongous house and wear all latest fashions. But, that’s what gets people in financial trouble.
I know it can be tempting, and I’ll be the first to admit that I am guilty of buying things I don’t really need, but before you make that impulse purchase take a second to ask yourself, “Do I really need this?” Most likely, the answer will be no. Think of all the money we waste on buying stuff that we don’t need. And, that’s just what it is, stuff. At the time it seems like such an awesome deal, but then three months later, it is sitting in the closet collecting dust.
