Car Buying Tips

If you've never bought a car before, the process can seem very overwhelming; but, I'm here to tell you, it's not that bad!

Before you go car shopping, do your research. Have an idea of what type of vehicle you want, including color, year, etc. and, see if the dealerships in your area have that specific vehicle.

Once you have an idea of the type of vehicle you'd like to purchase, determine your budget. Use our auto loan calculators or schedule an appointment with one of our member service consultants. They'd be happy to help you create a spending plan.

Keep in mind, $500 a month is not a typical car payment. After you've figured out how much you'd like to spend, we can pre-approve you so you won't need to worry about financing your vehicle at the dealership. Basically, pre-approval allows you to deal the same as a cash buyer. Plus, your interest rate is locked in for 30 days from the date your pre-approval certificate is issued, so you have plenty of time to shop around.

To make sure that you're getting the best price on the vehicle use tools like Kelley Blue Book and NADA.
