On the evening of October 31st, CCCU transferred $2,378,533.18 from member’s Christmas Club accounts into their regular savings accounts.  To me, this annual transfer always signals the official beginning of the holiday shopping season.  Let the over-spending commence!  Or maybe that’s just me.

If you don’t know what Christmas Club is, let me give you a very quick and simple explanation.  Christmas club is a CCCU account that you can use to set aside money all year to use at Christmas time.  And who couldn’t use a little extra cash this time of year?

If you were one of the Christmas Club savers included in that large number – good for you!  You are ahead of the game.  If you didn’t have a chance to start your account this year, consider opening one to start saving for Christmas 2013.  Think about how good it will feel to be able to purchase all of those must-have gifts without racking up a mountain of credit card debt. Call CCCU at 319-393-9000 or stop by any branch to get started today.
