At Collins Community Credit Union, we take pride in our commitment to helping people and organizations in our community through charitable giving and volunteer work.

That’s why in 1992 we established the Community Action Committee, an employee lead group that gets together monthly to coordinate local fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.

The Community Action Committee is open to all credit union employees and we encourage staff to offer suggestions of charities or organizations near and dear to them that they would like the Credit Union to support.  We have had a very productive year so far and have more in the works for the remainder of 2014.

Some activities we’ve participated in this year include: donating 29 dresses to Z102.9’s ‘Gown Town’, which benefited local high school girls in need of a dress for prom, raised $40,000.00 for the March of Dimes, raised $738.38 for the Cedar House Shelter at our annual Summer Charity Cookout and assisted the HACAP Food Reservoir putting together 5,053 meals for those in need.

We have had a very productive year so far, but we’ve got more in the works. We will be collecting school supplies for Families Helping Families July 28 through August 11, we'll have a team at the American Heart Association Heart Walk on August 2 and we encourage you to join us for another charity cookout on August 29.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are look forward to getting involved with new communities and organizations!
