Happy Tuesday! I hope you all survived the snow storm and are finally digging your way out. Being one who’s always on the go, I had a hard time being stuck in the house all weekend and was going a little stir crazy. So, I decided to venture out and watch the Super Bowl with some friends, go Pats!

Last Friday, we made an exciting announcement at the Credit Union; we’ve expanded our field of membership! You can now be a Collins Community CU member if you live or work in the following counties: Benton, Blackhawk, Boone, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Cedar, Clinton, Clayton, Dallas, Delaware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fayette, Grundy, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jones, Johnson, Keokuk, Linn, Louisa, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Muscatine, Polk, Poweshiek, Scott, Story, Tama, Warren, Washington and Wapello.

Uff da, that’s a mouth full. Basically, what I am trying to say is that we have locations in Marion, Cedar Rapids, North Liberty, Iowa City, Des Moines and a Home Loan Center in Cedar Falls. (Click here to find a Collins Community CU location near you.) But, if there’s not a Collins Community CU branch close by, no worries! We are part of what’s called the Shared Branching Network, which provides our members with access to thousands of credit union locations across the country. By visiting a Shared Branch location, you can make deposits, withdraw cash, make loan payments and more. 

And, if that’s not awesome enough, we also provide services like online and mobile banking. With our Collins Community CU mobile app you can quickly and securely view account balances, transfer funds, pay friends and family using Popmoney or make deposits with our mobile deposit feature.

Last week, we had a couple in to close all their accounts because they were moving to Texas. After sitting down with a Member Service Consultant, they were thrilled to find out that we offered services like Online Banking and Shared Branching so that they didn’t have to close their Collins Community CU accounts. And, they left with all of Tommy’s contact information, so that if they ever needed anything he could help them out right away.
