It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is just a few days away!  In honor of the holiday I asked a few people around our branch what their favorite part of Thanksgiving is.  Here’s what they had to say…

“Every year at the 1st Avenue branch we have a Thanksgiving dinner.  We have two turkeys, yes two, ham, potatoes, pie and more.  With so much great food how can you not eat all day?” Cherie T.

“We should count our blessings everyday but Thanksgiving is always a good time to sit back from the dinner table after filling your tummy with Turkey and really take stock of your life.  I am blessed with a life that is full of things to do and people to see and that’s just the way I like it.  I’m a happy and contented soul because of all the wonderful people in my life that I love and who love me back.  Really, what more could I want?  Love is everything – so that is my wish for all the world – simply to feel loved.  Happy Thanksgiving friends!  I love you!” Karen U.

“I’m very excited to spend the day with my grandson Nolan, celebrating his first Thanksgiving!” Tim M.

“To me, the best part of Thanksgiving is spending time with my family.  And the leftovers aren’t bad either!” Jill B.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is playing a Mork & Mindy card game with my family.  It may seem like a lovely family tradition, but let me tell you, it gets pretty intense!

As the hustle and bustle of the holiday season begins I would encourage you to do your best not to get caught up in the stress, but to sit back and enjoy the little things.  Savor the taste of the pumpkin pie, don’t fret if the turkey is a little dry and laugh until you cry with your family and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
