Introducing Voice Biometrics: a new way to secure your account information.

Effective November 14, 2023, Collins Community Credit Union will be implementing our Voice Biometric system to our Member Contact Center. This exciting new, optional security feature adds an additional layer of security to further protect your Collins accounts from unauthorized access, helps shorten wait times to speak with a representative, and ensures that you receive the highest level of service.

Voice Biometrics is an OPTIONAL, FREE service to all members, but not required (you may choose to opt-in or opt-out).

What is Voice Biometrics?

Voice Biometrics enables us to capture the unique characteristics of a member’s voice to identify and verify them on the phone. During the enrollment process your unique voice characteristics are measured to create a digital voiceprint that is unique to you. This digital voiceprint is attached to your Member Number and verifies your identity, making it harder than ever for fraudsters to impersonate you and gain access to your information.

The Voice Biometric implementation also provides an enhanced member experience through these new features:

  • Estimated Wait Time: now when you call our member contact center, you will be given an estimated wait time to be connected with a representative.
  • Option to receive a call back right away: at the time you are given an estimated wait time, you will also be offered an option to select a call back. This means you no longer need to wait in the queue for 2 minutes to receive this option! You can select the call back option right away if you wish. (A note about call backs: the average time to receive a call back from a representative mirrors the estimated wait time you are given when you call in. For example, if the estimated wait time is 5 minutes, expect to recieve your call back in approximately 5 minutes.)

Voice Biometrics is a FREE service to all members, but not required (you may choose to opt-in or opt-out).
